Apple Recruitment Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy

In the autumn of 2009 Apple Recruitment embarked on a course of action to reduce and off-set our CO2 emissions. We quickly realised that our temporary staff have an impact on the environment while on placement too, so we decided to do something about it. Subsequently we launched a new initiative to supply all our clients with environmentally aware temporary staff, a first in the U.K.

In addition to making the company Carbon Neutral, we have given our consultants environmental awareness training, to help them guide and advise our temps on the most up-to-date green office procedures before their assignments.

Our goal is that our temps will turn up on assignment not only fully qualified and experienced for the job they have been hired for, but also capable of integrating with our client's environmental procedures and possibly even introducing some of our own.

Our industry body, the Recruitment & Employment Confederation are in full support. Peter Copus, the REC's Head of Membership commented, "What a fantastic job Apple is doing in pioneering green initiatives. We are not aware of any other member agencies who are taking their green credentials quite as seriously and we fully support Apple in their campaign."
