On behalf of our client, a social housing organisation, we are seeking an experienced Administrator to join their corporate services department.

The key focus will be processing confidential and sensitive information in relation to recruitment/resourcing, attendance, payroll and general HR issues. The postholder will also have responsibility for governance and compliance, carrying out research to include benchmarking, performance monitoring and Section 75 Equality.

You will need:

·Good general level of education to include at least five GCSE’s (at a minimum of Grade C) to include English and Maths or equivalent.


·QCF Level II (previously NVQ) in Business Administration or equivalent relevant qualification.


·One years’ administration experience (in last three years) working in a business environment including operation of a bespoke computerised system.

·Excellent level of IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, to include word processing experience.

·Excellent level of literacy and numeracy with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties include:

1. Provide first line support to employees and managers on HR related queries, on including -

• Resetting HR system passwords.

• Checking leave balances.

• Checking working patterns and updating, as required.

• General problem solving and resolution with iTrent.

• Escalating queries where more specific HR advice required.

• Reviewing and resolving Timeware queries.

2. Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and Governance and Corporate Assurance Officer.

3. Support directorates to audit all existing quality systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards e.g. ISO, Customer Service Excellence, House Mark etc.

4. Co-ordinate the identification and research of areas of best practice, suggesting options and new processes, procedures and policies as and when required.

5. Handle confidential and commercial information with discretion and in accordance with data protection legislation

6. Assist in the administration of the recruitment and selection lifecycle

7. Accurately process terminations; transfers; variations; and change of details, in line with corresponding T&Cs.

8. Ensure payroll receive all relevant HR documentation (ie. new start information, changes to T&Cs and leaver information) to enable timely and accurate payroll processing.

9. General office administration including record and dispatch incoming and outgoing mail, invoices, photocopying, filing, training packs, telephone calls, stationery orders, filing and any other directorate activity as required.


The organisation offers a starting salary of £ 19,312, based on a 37 hour week, and a great range of benefits including: 22 days annual leave plus 13 statutory days,on-job training, a contributory pension scheme, a health cash plan which can provide help with dental, optician and medical costs (including cover for dependent children in full time education up to 18 years of age), a monthly car allowance, free employee health checks and a Cycle to Work scheme. Flexibility regarding working hours is also offered in some areas of the business.
