Business Analyst

On behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst with a passion for monitoring performance, problem solving and assisting in the delivery of simple software solutions.


This is a full time (37 hours), permanent opportunity in a leading Utilities organisation. The role will be based in the greater Belfast area however they also have agile home working arrangements.


Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Business Manager will join the Commercial team. This Team is responsible for providing high quality fact based management information that can be used to develop strategies to optimise results and improve performance often through development of work management systems


Responsibilities include:

1.Contributing towards a team culture of sharing information and knowledge where there is a focus on solving issues with a "can-do” attitude and removing barriers to success.

2.Assisting colleagues with understanding and learning to improve together as a team.

3.Ensuring process compliance within the connections business, including formal audit of key processes.

4.Responding to colleague or customer requests for information in a positive, proactive and timely manner through appropriate channels

5.Contributing to the development of a customer centric approach within the Connections business.

6.Engaging with business users to document as-is processes and support development of process improvements.

7.Leveraging business knowledge and technical expertise to identify potential technology solutions to meet business requirements.

8.Providing support in the development of IT business cases.

9.Contributing to the successful delivery of IT projects.

You will need:

·A Third Level qualification.

·Previous experience in liaising with business end users across a large organisation

·Experience in supporting IT implementation

·High proficiency in the use of Microsoft IT applications, including Excel

·Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

·Current driving licence.


The post holder can expect a competitive salary around £26-30K and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
