                    <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Accounts Administrator</strong><br />
Location: Lisburn<br />
Salary: £28,000 &#8211; £35,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)</p>
<p>Apple Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established<br />
accountancy practice based in Lisburn, for an Accounts Administrator to join their growing<br />
team on a permanent basis.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional<br />
looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive accountancy practice. The<br />
successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients, providing support across<br />
payroll, accounts preparation, bank reconciliations and VAT returns.</p>
<p>The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can<br />
effectively manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering accurate and<br />
professional work.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong><br />
The Accounts Administrator will provide accounting and bookkeeping support to a range of<br />
clients, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and statutory deadlines are<br />
met.<br />
Working closely with colleagues and clients, you will be responsible for managing a varied<br />
workload while providing a high standard of client service.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br />
Accounts &amp; Bookkeeping</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients.</li>
<li>Process accounting transactions and bookkeeping entries.</li>
<li>Prepare and complete bank reconciliations.</li>
<li>Assist with the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate client records and documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p>Payroll</p>
<ul>
<li>Process weekly and monthly payrolls for clients.</li>
<li>Ensure payroll information is processed accurately and within agreed timescales.</li>
<li>Assist with payroll-related queries from clients.</li>
</ul>
<p>VAT &amp; Compliance</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare and submit VAT returns.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with relevant HMRC requirements and deadlines.</li>
<li>Assist clients with requests for financial information and documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p>Client Service</p>
<ul>
<li>Liaise directly with clients regarding financial records and queries.</li>
<li>Build and maintain positive client relationships.</li>
<li>Provide administrative support to the wider accountancy team as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The Person</strong></p>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification (AAT, IATI, Accounting Technician or similar).</li>
<li>Previous experience in an accountancy practice, bookkeeping, accounts administration or finance role.</li>
<li>Experience processing payroll.</li>
<li>Experience preparing bank reconciliations.</li>
<li>Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Strong organisational and time-management skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar.</li>
<li>Experience working directly with a portfolio of clients.</li>
<li>Knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC processes.</li>
<li>Further accounting qualifications or studies in progress.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits</strong><br />

Auditor to join their Business Planning team.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced internal audit professional to play a key<br />
role in delivering a high-quality, risk-based internal audit function within a well-established<br />
organisation.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will support the Internal Audit Manager in providing<br />
independent assurance on governance, risk management and internal control processes,<br />
while contributing to continuous business improvement across the organisation.</p>
<p>This is a permanent, full-time office-based position in Belfast, working 37 hours per week:</p>
<p>Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm</p>
<p>Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>The Senior Internal Auditor will support the delivery of the annual internal audit plan,<br />
carrying out audits across a range of business functions and providing management with<br />
objective analysis, findings and practical recommendations.<br />
Working closely with the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will also<br />
contribute to risk management activities, support organisational compliance requirements<br />
and help build confidence in the effectiveness of internal controls throughout the business.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Internal Audit Delivery</li>
</ul>
<p>Plan and execute internal audit assignments in line with the approved annual audit plan and<br />
professional auditing standards.<br />
Conduct risk-based testing and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.<br />
Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.<br />
Gather, analyse and evaluate audit evidence to support conclusions and recommendations.<br />
Prepare high-quality audit working papers and draft audit reports.</p>
<ul>
<li>Stakeholder Management</li>
</ul>
<p>Build and maintain strong working relationships with managers and employees across the<br />
organisation.<br />
Communicate audit objectives, findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.</p>
<p>Present audit findings in a constructive and solutions-focused manner.</p>
<ul>
<li>Risk Management &amp; Compliance</li>
</ul>
<p>Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the organisation&#8217;s risk management<br />
framework.<br />
Review corporate and departmental risk registers and provide observations and<br />
recommendations where appropriate.</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with periodic risk reporting and assurance activities.</li>
</ul>
<p>Keep up to date with developments in internal audit standards, governance, risk<br />
management and relevant regulatory requirements.</p>
<ul>
<li>Audit Follow-Up &amp; Continuous Improvement</li>
</ul>
<p>Monitor progress against agreed management actions.<br />
Track audit recommendations through to completion.<br />
Support the development of annual internal audit plans.<br />
Liaise with external auditors and other assurance providers as required to ensure a<br />
coordinated approach to assurance activities.<br />
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.</p>
<p><strong>The Person</strong><br />
Essential Criteria</p>
<ul>
<li>Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.</li>
<li>Professional accountancy or internal audit qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or CIA), or currently working towards one.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years&#8217; internal audit experience.</li>
<li>Experience preparing audit working papers and draft reports to a professional standard.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of internal audit standards, principles and best practice.</li>
<li>Good understanding of risk management, governance and internal control frameworks.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation.</li>
<li>High levels of integrity and professionalism.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.</li>
</ul>
