<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an excellent opportunity for a building maintenance professional to join a busy regional maintenance team, ensuring repairs to housing properties are delivered to the required cost, quality and time standards.</span></p>
<h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Carry out inspections of properties to authorise contractors to undertake maintenance work.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Liaise with colleagues involved in housing allocations to ensure vacant properties receive the necessary maintenance work to facilitate prompt re-letting.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain accurate records and complete inspection documentation in line with organisational procedures.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work to agreed inspection timetables and service standards.</span></li>

<h3><b>Essential Criteria</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Applicants must meet one of the following:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A Degree in Building Studies (or equivalent) with 1 year’s relevant experience; OR</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A BTEC Higher Diploma in Building Studies (or equivalent) with 2 years’ relevant experience; OR</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Relevant experience is defined as experience working on the design, improvement or maintenance of domestic properties.</span></p>

Job Description:<br />
The main duties and responsibilities of the post are to:<br />
• Build knowledge and understanding of two main areas;<br />
o Current IS technology base – infrastructure and software environments; and<br />
o Assembly Procedures.</p>
<p>Assist in the running of IS Office related Project and Change Management projects<br />
Work alongside Assembly Commission business units to assist in and improve the planning and<br />
delivery of ICT enabled projects. This will involve:<br />
Assisting Assembly Commission business units by providing support in the delivery of;</p>
<p>▪ Innovative digital solutions;<br />
▪ Business improvement processes;<br />
▪ Change management;<br />
▪ Business mapping processes;<br />
▪ Pre Market Engagement activities as required;<br />
▪ Strategic business cases to support the replacement of key systems;<br />
▪ Outcome-based requirements to support procurement activities;<br />
▪ Utilising MS DevOps to support capturing requirements and assign tasks;<br />
▪ Guidance on how to make effective use of existing IT solutions;<br />
Information gathering, analysis and regular review meetings with Assembly Commission<br />

• Have an understanding of basic finance and HR processes to support the<br />

• Participate in business modelling processes, being conversant with techniques<br />
covering the full range of modelling situations and have ability to gather insight from<br />
stakeholders and communicate modelling results clearly to them.<br />
• Understanding and experience of software product life cycle especially the Agile<br />
development methodology;<br />
• Providing business analysis of software development requests to support IS<br />
Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure that requests align with the vision, objectives<br />
and strategy of the organisation.<br />
• Production of user stories (requirements) in relation to software development<br />
requests and then working collaboratively with the lead software developers to finalise<br />
these stories from a user and technical point of view.<br />
• Review design and requirements documentation in order to assist and support the<br />
end user in the testing of developed systems. Support the recording of these results and<br />
provide analysis and feedback to IS Developers.<br />
• Manage and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure<br />
effectiveness of stakeholder management. Help develop and enhance customer and<br />
stakeholder relationships.<br />
• Manage contracted equipment or services suppliers to ensure project timetables are<br />
met and services are being delivered to agreed standards via scheduled review meetings.<br />
• Support creation and delivery of training across the M365 products and newly<br />
provisioned application as procured / delivered.</p>
<p>• Support end users with the adoption of new technologies and applications.<br />
• Comply with the Assembly’s Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work policies and<br />
procedures.<br />
• Manage information and records in accordance with established policies and<br />
statutory requirements.<br />
• You may also be required to carry out other duties that the Assembly Commission<br />
reasonably requires of you.<br />

(i) Possess up to date PRINCE2 or PMI Agile Practitioner certification<br />

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are currently recruiting for a </span><b>Maintenance Officer (Band 5)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to join a busy Housing team based in Newtownabbey. Reporting to the Area Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring maintenance repairs to properties are delivered to the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer service.</span></p>
<h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Carrying out inspections of properties to authorise maintenance work in line with established schedules</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Inspecting completed maintenance works to ensure required quality standards have been achieved before authorising payment</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Monitoring contractor performance and identifying any service delivery issues requiring corrective action</span></li>

</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Relevant experience will be considered as working on the design, improvement, or maintenance of domestic properties.</span></p>

Job Purpose:<br />
Visitor Experience Officers are usually the first-person visitors will meet in Parliament Buildings.<br />
They are responsible for the following main duties: meeting and greeting visitors to Parliament<br />
Buildings; signposting and providing information; reception duties – signing visitors into the Building<br />
and issuing their security passes; welcoming visitors in Parliament Buildings’ Great Hall; providing a<br />
range of guided tours of Parliament Buildings; providing administrative and operational support for<br />
activities undertaken by the Visitor Experience team including, but not limited to, event organisation<br />
(internal and external).<br />
Job Description:<br />
Main duties and responsibilities of the job.<br />
 Providing high quality customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders and visitors;<br />
 Greeting visitors at reception and providing information, signing in visitors and providing<br />
security passes;<br />
 Welcoming visitors to Parliament Buildings and the Great Hall, maximising opportunities to<br />
engage, providing a warm, friendly welcome to Parliament Buildings, connecting people and<br />
providing helpful, accurate information and signposting as required;<br />
 Providing tours of Parliament Buildings to a wide range of audiences in a confident, inclusive,<br />
politically neutral and engaging manner.<br />
 Assisting the Visitor Experience Supervisor and the Visitor Experience Manager to<br />
continuously improve and develop and Visitor Experience team by providing input, ideas and<br />
feedback.<br />
 Assisting with event management and delivery, problem solving and assisting event<br />
organisers as required;<br />
 Working closely with colleagues within the Visitor Experience team and being flexible and<br />
dynamic in relation to service delivery;<br />
 Building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues from other business areas and<br />
with Members.<br />
 Managing electronic mailboxes, phone calls and dealing with routine correspondence<br />
accurately and promptly and forwarding to relevant staff as appropriate.<br />
 Assisting in the gathering of information for distribution through internal and external<br />
communication channels, including but not limited to social media.<br />
 Gathering information and feedback and using Microsoft Office and bespoke internal<br />
Assembly software systems and databases effectively to prepare documents.<br />
 Managing own work to ensure the delivery of objectives.<br />
 Providing high quality and timely administrative support, for example filing, photocopying<br />
and diary management.<br />
 Inputting data and maintaining records in databases, spreadsheets and electronic filing<br />
systems to aid the storage and retrieval of electronic documents.<br />
 Organising and providing support to meetings, events and visits including issuing papers,<br />
ordering hospitality, meeting and greeting external visitors and officials, and responding to<br />
any queries<br />
 Recording information to support the production of minutes and draft minutes<br />
 Checking and processing invoices for payment through electronic payment system.<br />
 Complying with the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission’s (the Assembly Commission’s)<br />
staff policies and procedures including Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work policies and<br />
procedures.</p>
<p> Carrying out other duties that the Assembly Commission reasonably requires of you.<br />
Work Pattern:<br />
The duties of this post require attendance at Parliament Buildings on each working day. The<br />
standard working week is 37 hours (excluding meal breaks) across 5 days, Monday to Saturday. The<br />
hours of work each day will be scheduled between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Working hours will be<br />
dictated by the mode of operation of the Northern Ireland Assembly (the Assembly) and will involve<br />
work into late evenings and on occasion, public holidays. You will also be required to work such<br />
additional hours as may from time to time be reasonable and necessary for the efficient performance<br />
of your duties. The Assembly Commission will provide at least 10 working days’ notice of your work<br />
pattern for each week. As far as reasonably possible, you will be provided with 3 working days’<br />
notice of required overtime.<br />
The hours for the part time role are 18 hours per week, Monday to Thursday working 10am to<br />
2.30pm each day.<br />
Uniform:<br />
Visitor Experience Officers will be supplied with a Visitor Experience Team Uniform including;<br />
Trousers, T-shirt and Gillet.<br />
