The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting major low-carbon heating initiatives, undertaking research and analysis, monitoring policy developments, and contributing to projects that help shape the future of sustainable energy.</p>
<p>This position would suit a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical and research skills who is keen to develop a career within the energy, sustainability, policy, or environmental sectors. <p><strong>Hours of Work</strong><br />
This is a permanent full-time position working 37 hours per week.</p>
<ul>
<li>Monday to Thursday: 8.30am &#8211; 5.00pm</li>
<li>Friday: 8.30am &#8211; 4.30pm</li>
</ul>
<p>Flexibility may occasionally be required to meet business needs.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong><br />
The Low Carbon Heating Analyst will support the delivery of innovative low-carbon heat programmes and wider energy transition initiatives.</p>
<p>A key focus of the role will be supporting the delivery of a major Hybrid Heat Pump Programme, including the management, analysis and interpretation of large volumes of performance data from residential heating systems.<br />
The successful candidate will produce detailed reports and briefings, support strategic decision-making, monitor policy developments, undertake research and analysis, and work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and analyse data generated from low-carbon heating programmes and trials.</li>
<li>Identify performance trends, issues and opportunities through detailed data analysis.</li>
<li>Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and performance updates for internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Support the presentation of project findings and programme outcomes.</li>
<li>Conduct research into low-carbon heating technologies, energy policy and related market developments.</li>
<li>Monitor policy developments across Northern Ireland, Ireland, the UK and Europe and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.</li>
<li>Support the successful delivery of research projects, pilot programmes and industry trials.</li>
<li>Engage with a variety of stakeholders including regulators, government departments, academics, industry partners and internal teams.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing responses to consultations and policy discussions.</li>
<li>Support business development activities, market analysis and evaluation of future low-carbon opportunities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams to support the organisation&#8217;s decarbonisation objectives.</li>
<li>Prepare concise, structured briefings for senior management and leadership teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for an analytical and motivated individual with a genuine interest in sustainability, energy transition and low-carbon technologies.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Educated to degree level.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year&#8217;s experience in a research, analyst, economist, regulatory, policy, public affairs or similar analytical role.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Experience interpreting information and communicating complex findings clearly.</li>
<li>Experience preparing structured written reports, briefings or analysis documents.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently using initiative.</li>
<li>Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience analysing large volumes of data.</li>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li>
<li>Experience working collaboratively with external organisations or stakeholders.</li>
<li>Knowledge of energy, sustainability, climate change or environmental policy.</li>
<li>Demonstrable interest in low-carbon heating technologies and energy transition initiatives.</li>
<li>Experience supporting research projects, business cases, consultation responses or policy development activities.</li>
</ul>
