This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced agricultural or environmental scientist with a strong background in grassland, animal science or agricultural research to contribute to scientific research within a specialist Grassland Systems Research Unit.

Key Duties

The successful candidate will work as an Animal-Grassland Scientist, supporting the management and delivery of grassland and animal research experiments and contributing to the collection, analysis and reporting of scientific data.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have either:

• A PhD in a grassland or animal-related discipline;

OR

• A BSc in Agricultural Science or Environmental Science, together with at least 2 years’ experience managing agricultural research trials.

• Experience of collecting, compiling and analysing scientific or experimental data.

• Proficiency in statistical analysis, with strong experience using R. Knowledge of Python or similar tools is an advantage.

Key Duties

• Receive, check and shelve pharmacy items in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Accurately receipt delivery documentation onto the EPIC system and ensure documentation is appropriately maintained.
• Participate in the provision of a Bulk Issue “top-up” service to wards and departments.
• Prepare regular orders, remove overstock and carry out appropriate stock rotation and expiry date management.
• Assemble and issue daily ward orders, requisitions and Bulk Issue lists through the EPIC pharmacy computer system.
• Assemble and supply IV fluids and procedure pack orders, maintaining appropriate records.
• Monitor and maintain pharmacy stock levels through regular bin maintenance and physical stock checks.

Essential Criteria Applicants must meet one of the following:

• 5 GCSEs (Grades A–G) or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics Grade D or above;

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff.
