Duration: Full-time, permanent opportunities available (initial temporary contract during training)

Salary: £12.71 – £13.02 per hour basic, with potential to earn up to £17.58 per hour

Working Pattern:

Assemblers

• Sunday – Thursday | 6:00pm – 2:00am
  or
• Monday – Friday | 6:00pm – 2:00am

Forklift Drivers

• Sunday – Thursday | 6:00pm – 4:00am (4 x 10-hour shifts)

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for Assemblers and Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team in Mallusk, Newtownabbey. The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently by assembling customer orders or operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively, while working to productivity and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

Assemblers

• Assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Work to productivity and quality targets
• Support the smooth operation of the warehouse
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Forklift Drivers

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, unload and move stock throughout the warehouse
• Support warehouse operations and stock replenishment
• Carry out duties in line with health and safety procedures

About You

The successful candidates will be reliable, motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Criteria

• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Ability to work to targets in a busy warehouse environment
• For Forklift Driver roles, a valid Forklift licence and relevant experience is essential

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy warehouse team responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring orders are processed accurately while maintaining high standards of quality, stock control, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and verifying incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
• Unloading and storing stock within designated warehouse locations
• Picking, packing, marshalling, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Replenishing stock locations and maintaining effective stock rotation
• Processing priority customer requests within required timescales
• Operating warehouse equipment, including hand pallet trucks and other mechanical aids (training provided where appropriate)
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting faults or defects
• Assisting with stock counts, inventory control, and returns procedures
• Maintaining accurate warehouse records and following warehouse management procedures
• Ensuring warehouse areas remain clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations
• Working in accordance with quality management procedures and operational standards

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grades A–C) including English Language and Mathematics

OR

• An NVQ Level 2/GNVQ (or equivalent) plus 1 year’s relevant experience

OR

• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within a stores or warehouse environment gained within the last 5 years
