<p>To communicate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including customers, DLO Supervisors and the NIHE CSU Unit to help deliver DLO’s maintenance services.</p>
<p>To build and maintain a knowledge and understanding of the schedule of rates.</p>
<p>To carry out and complete all work to a high quality and in a timely manner to meet contract KPIs.</p>
<p>To take an active and positive role within the team, working together to meet business objectives.</p>
<p>To use a wide range of IT systems to record, manage, create, analyse and retrieve repairs information.</p>

<p><strong>MAIN DUTIES</strong><br />
The successful candidate will be required to:<br />
Work within a small team to deliver a range of services which will include, but is not limited to, the following:<br />
• Contact tenants by telephone and arrange appointments.<br />
• Schedule or reschedule all appointments to suit tenants and or business needs<br />
• Process  sub-contractor completions and input real time events for job completion.<br />
• Correlate out of hour’s task data and track task progress, and process accordingly to meet deadlines.<br />
• Communicate effectively with Tenants, NIHE staff and other statutory bodies.<br />
• Deal with tenants queries, effectively and efficiently.<br />
• Save and retain a variety of documents for audit purposes.<br />
• Use of both the DLO IT systems and HMS (Housing Management System).<br />
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of the schedule of rates<br />
• Carry out inspections for missing data, certificates and other system compliance issues.<br />
• Work as part of a team and communicate to a high level and in a professional manner both internally and externally.<br />
• May be required to provide cover on a rota basis to 20.00 Mon to Fri and to 2.00 on a Saturday.<br />

<li>Referring tenants to outside agencises including Financial Inclusion Officer or</li>
<li>Advice Ni depending on their needs</li>

Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Hostel Assistant.  This role involves assisting vulnerable applicants, supporting referrals, carrying out occupancy checks, cleaning duties, viewings, sign-ups, delivering warnings, liaising with housing advisors, and other duties as required.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>To provide a wide range of administrative support and act as the initial point of contact for customer queries, via multiple communication methods.</li>
<li>To perform assigned duties and tasks, either as part of a team or individually as required, including the prioritization of own workload when necessary.</li>
<li>To deal with incoming communications and queries from customers and stakeholders via email, post, telephone, web reports, face to face.</li>
<li>To undertake a range of administrative duties including, but not limited to customer / stakeholder contact, data input, record keeping and reporting.</li>
<li>To record information from customers and external stakeholders, updating Housing Executive records and systems as appropriate, and distributing information to other colleagues as necessary.</li>
<li>To use a range of computer packages and systems to record, manage and retrieve information, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other bespoke systems.</li>
<li>Work on site, complete occupancy visits with in Mid and East Antrim.</li>
<li>Work with external stakeholders dealing with complaints, repairs, support referrals.</li>
<li>Complete inspections of properties, report back to Team leader . Work with</li>
<li>Landlord to deal with queries, repair issues and complaints.</li>
<li>Provide on call assistance after (rota basis)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Possess at least two GCSEs at Grade C or above – to include Maths and English or equivalent level qualification (Level 2*)</li>
<li>Less than 1 year relevant experience is acceptable.</li>
<li>Basic IT proficiency</li>
<li>Ability to support vulnerable individuals effectively.</li>

<h3><b>Essential Criteria:</b></h3>

Job Description:<br />
The main duties and responsibilities are:<br />
• Provide high quality customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and<br />
external, including Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA’s) and their staff, NI Assembly staff<br />
and third-party suppliers.<br />
• Manage own work to ensure the delivery of objectives.<br />
• Process, check, raise and address queries and input financial documentation and information,<br />
including invoices, payroll data, expense claims and payments.<br />
• Perform reconciliations and process corrections on general ledger accounts.<br />
• Investigate irregularities and process corrections on a computerised payroll system.<br />
• Efficiently file and record financial documentation and information.<br />
• Respond promptly to e-mail, telephone and face to face queries regarding invoices, payroll,<br />
expense claims and payments.<br />
• Record and distribute correspondence, emails, incoming mail / post, monitor and manage<br />
electronic mailboxes and deal with routine correspondence accurately and promptly and forward to<br />
relevant staff as appropriate.<br />
• Effectively use Microsoft Office and bespoke internal Assembly financial software systems and<br />
databases. Provide accurate information and advice in a professional and helpful manner in line with<br />
organisational policies and procedures.<br />
• Comply with all Assembly Commission’s staff policies and procedures including Equal<br />

                    <description><![CDATA[<p>Temporary Band 4 General Admin and Clerical post, with a particular emphasis on Finance Officer experience to work within the BHSCT Costing Department &#8211; Finance Directorate.</p>
<p>£14.06 per hour, full time hours, 37 1/2 hours each week</p>
<p>Ongoing temporary contract, 2-3 months initially, with review to extend as services require</p>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p>
<p>NVQ level 4 or equivalent qualification <strong>and </strong>TWO years Finance experience, one of which should be at Band 3 level or equivalent and experience of using computer systems in a working environment<br />
<strong>OR</strong><br />
Five GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) to include Maths/Accounts <strong>and </strong>English and THREE years Finance experience, one of which should be at Band 3 level <strong>or</strong> equivalent and experience of using computer systems in a working environment</p>

<li>Knowledge of finance arrangements within Health &amp; Personal Social Services.</li>

</ul>
<p><strong>Job Summary / Main Purpose</strong><br />
The postholder will have the following responsibilities;<br />
-Ensure financial information is processed in accordance with procedures, in order to provide information for statutory returns, through completion of own work &amp; through the coordination of the work of others<br />
-Assist with the preparation &amp; completion of statutory/HPSS accounts &amp; returns, ensuring that work is completed in line with financial timescales and legal requirements, interpreting these where necessary<br />
-Investigate complex financial enquiries, providing assistance &amp; advice as required<br />
-Provide advice to patients, clients regarding e.g. charges, as required<br />
-Responsible for the daily management of a finance team e.g. payroll, financial accounts, as required<br />
-Ensure that work is completed in line with timetables and legal requirements, interpreting these where necessary.</p>
<p><strong>Main Duties / Responsibilities</strong><br />
For each of the following, the postholder will;<br />
-work within policies and procedures where work is managed rather than supervised.<br />
-have knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices, majority non routine, and an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge.<br />
-have a detailed understanding of accounting procedures (reconciliation and balances, VAT payments and deductions, finance computer systems and ledgers, coding structures, payroll agreements and procedures, budgetary control, costing and commissioning, capital, governance.)<br />
-have knowledge of legislation as it affects own finance area, which may be acquired through formal training /experience.</p>
<p><strong>Accounting and Financial Services</strong><br />
1)Liaise with regional Shared Services Centres in management, control and review of transactional activities undertaken at these centres on behalf of the Trust.<br />
2) Assist with management and operation of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions retained at Trust level.<br />
3) Assist with management of the Trust’s authorisation frameworks through system administration of financial systems.<br />
4) Support end users in operation of the Trust financial systems to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and targets.<br />
5) Ensure adherence to prescribed procedures by all staff under their control. Liaise with Procurement and Logistics Service (PALS) and other relevant departments and external organizations to ensure that purchase of goods and services are properly controlled.<br />
6) Receipting, processing and recording of cash and cheques received. Assist in the control of cash office function including the receipting, preparation and verification of lodgements. Maintenance of postal income register.<br />
7) Maintenance of the charitable funds payments and receipts system.<br />
8) Maintenance of the patients’ private property payments and receipts system. Disposal of the property of discharged/deceased patients in accordance with appropriate procedures.<br />
9) Reconciliation of relevant bank and other control accounts and resolution of queries arising.<br />
10) Assist with month-end procedures and with queries arising during the completion of monthly reports.<br />
11) Provide as required, information to assist with the completion of the Trust’s Statutory Annual Accounts and other relevant Returns.<br />
12) Assessment of clients contributions &#8211; collate and verify all financial information and make application for the appropriate benefits for clients going into Residential / Nursing home care.</p>

<p><b>JOB SUMMARY:</b></p>

<li>The post holder will assist in the provision of Domestic Services in the customer/patient focused environment of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.</li>
<li>The postholder will work to ensure that services delivered promote a professional public image to service users and other staff and that Environmental Cleanliness is delivered in  accordance with national and local guidelines and protocols.</li>
<li>Maintaining their work area to a high level of  cleanliness and adhere to all policies and procedures.</li>

<p><b>KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>
