Job Title: Engagement and Development Coordinator
Salary: £30,458 – £31,097 annually
Location: Newforge, Belfast
Hours: 37 hours per week. Our client operates a flexi working system. Hybrid working will be considered.
Contract: 6-9 months with possibility of extension
Role & Responsibilities:
- To support the development of employees by administering and managing an annual training needs exercise, including researching and engaging external training providers while ensuring all procurement guidelines are followed.
- Action ad-hoc training requests across the organization, in a timely manner.
- Produce analysis on a regular basis for senior stakeholders on the progression of engagement and development related matters. Ensure up to date and accurate statistics are maintained
- Champion and contribute to employee engagement and health and wellbeing initiatives through the People & Culture strategy to help enhance the employee experience.
- Manage and advise on engagement and development related queries, ensuring that policy and procedure is upheld and that stakeholders receive a high-quality service.
- Develop engaging monthly and quarterly communications to distribute to all staff regarding health and wellbeing and staff development.
- Ensure the timely payment of invoices working closely with our Finance Department.
- Facilitate student work placements and visiting workers to the organization, liaising with key stakeholders to include c management, University personnel, student supervisors and individual students.
- Undertake all duties respecting confidentiality, sensitivity and duty of care at all times.
- Working with the People and Culture Branch to ensure that all services are delivered to the same high standard across all divisions, and to maintain the trust of employees.
Applicants must demonstrate in their application form and at interview that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date:
- 5 GCSE’s (equivalent or higher) 2 out of the 5 must include English and Maths at Grade A* – C.
- A minimum of 1 years’ continuous experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting and advising on Learning and Development programmes and engagement/wellbeing initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience efficiently managing a varied workload, meeting a wide range of objectives through a high level of co-ordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience building credibility with stakeholders through effective verbal and written communication in provision of sound advice and support to aid good working relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel and Word and their relevant functions e.g., use of pivot tables, to support a range of reporting requirements.
PREFERRED CRITERIA
- Strong knowledge of online development tools and platforms, and the ability to quickly learn new technology/software.
- Adaptable and resourceful self-starter who enjoys overcoming barriers to have impact and drive change.
- Experience of managing the PO process.
