Location: Portadown Office
Salary: £16.90 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Temporary, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Apple Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Advisor (Band 5) on behalf of a public sector organisation based at the Portadown Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional to provide housing advice and support, carry out housing and homelessness assessments, manage a caseload and work closely with customers and other stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Carry out housing and homelessness assessments in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Manage an allocated caseload and ensure cases are progressed appropriately.
- Undertake reassessments where required.
- Respond to customer enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide appropriate housing advice, information and support to customers.
- Prepare and respond to MLA enquiries.
- Represent the organisation at relevant meetings.
- Work effectively with colleagues, partner organisations and other professional services.
- Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, including in challenging situations.
- Manage and prioritise workload effectively to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case information.
- Carry out duties in accordance with relevant organisational policies, procedures and requirements.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a customer-focused environment, with less than 1 year’s experience acceptable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and other professionals.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a caseload and competing demands.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT proficiency.
