Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Clerical Officer based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, compassionate and customer-focused administrator to join a busy Housing Solutions team, providing key administrative support and assisting with customer enquiries and casework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Housing Solutions team.
- Use the telephony system to answer incoming customer calls and provide a professional and compassionate service.
- Monitor and manage main inboxes, responding to customer queries in a timely manner.
- Draft written responses to customers and assist with responses to letters and complaints on behalf of the Business Area Manager.
- Use the Board app to triage and allocate work appropriately.
- Make outbound calls to customers to gather information required for assessments.
- Set up and maintain databases and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Record outcomes appropriately, ensuring information is proportionate, legal, auditable and necessary.
- Monitor performance measures to support understanding and improvement of business processes.
- Take responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Provide cover arrangements within the office when required.
- Undertake other relevant administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Previous administrative or clerical experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work on their own initiative and manage workload effectively.
- A motivated and proactive approach to work.
- A compassionate and customer-focused approach.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to use computer systems effectively.
- The ability to handle confidential customer information appropriately.
- Basic Access NI clearance (required prior to commencement).
