Job: Day Care Support Worker (Band 3)
Location: Banbridge/Gilford area
Hours: 30 per week
Duration: Temporary
Salary: £12.86 per hour
On behalf of our public sector client, Apple Recruitment Services are seeking two Day Care Support Workers to join their Disability Services team based in the Banbridge/Gilford area.
In this role, you will provide care and support to adults with learning and physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), epilepsy, and complex behavioural needs. You’ll assist in delivering person-centred care plans and contribute to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of service users within a day care setting.
Key Duties:
- Support individuals in developing life skills, promoting independence, and participating in daily activities.
- Assist with personal care and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all service users.
- Contribute to the planning and review of individual care plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate records in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Essential Criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or similar support needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
