Job Title: Design Project Manager

Location: Newtownards Area
Pay Rate: £19.32
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm)
Duration: Full-Time, Temporary

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Design Project Manager (APD) to support the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes within a regional project delivery team. This temporary role will involve assisting in the coordination and execution of maintenance projects to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager in managing regional planned maintenance programmes
  • Assist in coordinating cyclical and planned works across a portfolio of properties
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and performance against targets
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
  • Contribute to reporting, documentation, and programme tracking
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards

Essential Criteria

  • 1–5 years’ relevant experience in construction, maintenance, or project delivery
  • Good working knowledge of project coordination or construction processes
  • Intermediate IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office and project tracking systems)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Additional Requirements

  • Basic Access NI check required
  • Willingness to work within a structured public-sector environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality services and continuous improvement

Working Conditions & Benefits

  • Full-time role (37 hours per week)
  • Minimum 20-minute flexible break between 12:00pm – 2:00pm
  • Holiday entitlement: 23 days annual leave + 12 public holidays (pro rata)
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided where required
