Job Title: Governance Support Manager

Band: Band 5 (£27,055 – £32,934 per annum)

Location: Initially based at Towerhill, Armagh (hybrid and flexible working available)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time

On behalf of our client, Apple Recruitment Services are seeking a Governance Support Manager to join their Performance, Safety and Service Improvement Directorate. This critical post offers a unique opportunity to shape and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensure timely responses to safety and quality alerts, and support risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide oversight and administrative support for assurance frameworks, corporate planning, and risk register reviews.

Act as Project Co-ordinator for the Quality, Safety and Experience Group and Safety and Quality Alerts Team.

Develop and manage systems to track Safety and Quality Alerts, liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure effective action.

Produce analytical and statistical reports on Significant Adverse Incidents (SAIs).

Manage governance records and act as Local Record Officer for the electronic document system.

Line manage staff and support a culture of continuous improvement and collective leadership.

Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support governance initiatives and reviews.

Essential Criteria:

A university degree or professional qualification plus one year’s administrative experience, or three years’ experience in an administrative role.

At least 12 months of staff management experience.

Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including use of spreadsheets or databases.

Strong communication skills and experience working with a range of stakeholders.

A full driving licence and access to a car (reasonable adjustments considered).

Desirable Criteria:

Familiarity with DATIX or similar risk management systems.

Experience working within a quality and safety function in health or social care.

Knowledge of PRINCE2 or other project management methodologies.
