Apple Recruitment are recruiting for a GP Appraisal Executive Officer for on behalf of NI Medical and Dental Training Agency in Belfast area.
Main duties and responsibilities:
GP APPRAISAL SYSTEMS
- To provide administrative support in the organisation of GP Appraisal Processes as set out in the NIMDTA / HSCB Service Level Agreement.
- To deal with queries relating to all GP Department activities and in particular GP appraisal queries.
- To update and maintain the NIMDTA Performers List.
- To update and maintain the GP Appraisal Booking System.
- To update and maintain the GP Appraiser Data file.
- To monitor and report on the number of appraisal sessions available as required.
GP APPRAISAL QUALITY ASSURANCE
- To provide support and information with regards to the following
- To administer the Form 4 Quality Assurance Process for Appraisers.
- Organisation of Lead Appraiser and Appraiser bi-annual probationary period meetings with the Regional Appraisal Co-ordinator.
- Organisation of annual appraisal meetings between the Regional Appraisal Co-ordinator and Lead Appraisers.
- To participate in monthly information audit protocols.
GP APPRAISAL CONFERENCE & COMMITTEES
- To assist with the GP Appraisal Conferences and Committees to include:
- Communication with members regarding meetings.
- Ensuring venue booking for conference, external venues, zoom sessions etc.
- Preparing Agendas and taking minutes when required.
- Undertaking follow up actions as required.
- Ensuring minutes are circulated to all stakeholders/meeting attendees once agreed in a timely manner.
COMMUNICATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS
- To provide effective communication with key stakeholders such as the Health and Social Care Board.
- To provide reports on the GP Appraisal process as required for meetings.
- Use of Microsoft Excel – intermediary/advanced level.
- Use of Microsoft outlook at a high standard.
- To provide expert Appraisal advice by telephone and email.
- To maintain and update the NIMDTA website as required.
- High level of accuracy required when completing reports.
- Ensure daily contact with Administrative Assistant within the area.

Applicants must, by the closing date:
1a.) GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR higher qualification
AND
2x A Levels OR equivalent OR higher qualification
AND
18 months’ relevant experience*
OR
1b.) A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
2.) Experience in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3.) Ability to maintain and improve services, systems and customer service to meet high standards of quality and professionalism.
4.) Ability to ensure a high level of accuracy in own work.
5.) Ability to plan ahead and work to deadlines, including prioritisation of own workload and that of others.
6.) Ability to manage, analyse and evaluate information to aid effective decision making.
7.) Ability to plan, allocate and evaluate work for staff and self.
8.) Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
Desirable Criteria:
9.) Experience of financial administration, to include processing payments and invoices.
10.) One year’s experience of providing administrative support to committees to include minute taking.
Further Details:
- Hourly Rate: £12.86
- Hours: 37.5 hours, Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm; Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Duration: Up to 4 months with possibility of extension
