Job title: Legal Secretary
Salary: Depending on experience £220000 to £26000
Location: Belfast City Centre
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and closing for 1 hour at lunchtime.
On behalf of our client, a Legal firm with a long history of providing Legal Services in Northern Ireland, we have a new opportunity for a secretary to join their conveyancing team.
The Legal Secretary will support the Solicitors with a range of conveyancing administrative work. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Diary management and organising meetings
- Opening & closing case files
- General administrative duties. Answering phone calls and taking messages.
- Audio typing
- Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
- Ensuring files are up to date and accurate, with high attention to detail
- Filing, organising, and updating documents in a timely manner
- High levels of confidentially
You will need:
- Knowledge and experience in conveyancing.
- Strong audiotyping skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities- able to work to deadlines.
- Experience of using manual and electronic filing systems.
- Excellent communication skills- telephone, face to face and email.
- Able to work as part of a team and own initiative.
