Job Title: Neighbourhood Officer
Location: Fermanagh
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 37 hrs/week
Salary: £13.26 per hour
Duration: Temporary
About the Role
On behalf of our client, Apple Recruitment Services are seeking a Neighbourhood Officer to provide a supporting and complementary role to the Patch Manager teams. You will help deliver estate, environmental, and community management services across the Area, contributing to a modern, professional, and responsive Housing Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake scheduled and unscheduled estate duties, maintaining daily logbooks.
- Conduct Health & Safety checks in communal areas at low, medium, and high-rise flats.
- Liaise and report repairs, assisting elderly or vulnerable tenants.
- Monitor void commercial properties and assist maintenance staff and tenants.
- Work with grounds maintenance staff to address environmental issues and monitor open spaces.
- Assist in tackling low-level anti-social behavior and illegal dumping, including liaising with councils.
- Support community development through engagement with residents’ associations, inter-agency meetings, and local initiatives.
- Draft responses to queries, complaints, and provide feedback to tenants.
- Attend court as required and support Area Management team activities.
- Maintain accurate records and complete reports using relevant IT systems.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a BTEC National Certificate/Level 3 qualification + 1 year relevant customer service/admin experience OR
- 5 GCSEs/Level 2 qualification + 2 years relevant customer service/admin experience OR
- 3 years’ relevant customer service or general administrative experience.
- Experience dealing appropriately with customers in challenging environments.
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen, work independently and in a team, attention to detail, customer focus, empathy, and conflict resolution skills.
- Possess a current driving licence or have access to transport to meet role requirements.
