Job Title: Projects and Compliance Officer
Location: Greater Belfast Area. Fully office-based position. There is no opportunity for home or hybrid working.
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, plus 6-9% annual on-target bonus
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Projects and Compliance Officer to join their Business Planning team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support the delivery of strategic projects across the organisation, ensuring work progresses within agreed scope, timescales and budgets.
- Maintain project plans, action logs, trackers and progress reports.
- Apply project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, where appropriate.
- Coordinate project meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.
- Produce and maintain project dashboards and management reporting.
- Prepare briefing papers, reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Support strategic planning activities, business cases and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
- Monitor changes in legislation relevant to the organisation.
- Maintain the compliance obligations register.
- Support internal audit activities, including evidence gathering and action tracking.
- Coordinate governance policy reviews and maintain policy registers.
- Assist with the maintenance of organisational risk registers and governance reporting.
- Coordinate governance training records and compliance reporting.
Systems & Technology
- Utilise Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
- Support the development and use of Microsoft Power Apps to improve business processes.
- Use AI tools and digital technologies to support project and compliance activities where appropriate.
Essential Criteria
- Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience within compliance and/or project delivery/management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project coordination, compliance, governance, risk, regulatory affairs or a similar role.
- Experience managing documentation, records and reporting across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Experience supporting internal audits, evidence gathering or compliance assurance activities.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using the Microsoft 365 Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
- Ability to analyse data accurately and produce clear management reports.
- Proactive with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional, collaborative and able to build effective working relationships across all levels.
