Job Description

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Craigavon

Duration: Temporary

Salary: £16.90 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Quality Inspector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate electronic project files, including reports, photographs, certificates, drawings, meeting minutes and site records.
  • Inspect works at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with specifications, statutory regulations, workmanship and material standards.
  • Identify and report any non-compliance issues, including health, safety and welfare concerns requiring immediate action.
  • Carry out measurements of works when required.
  • Prepare comprehensive electronic weekly inspection reports detailing site findings.
  • Keep the Contract Administrator/Project Manager informed of inspection findings, variations to works and potential compensation events.
  • Assist during the project handover process, ensuring all handover documentation is completed accurately.
  • Record and maintain project information using mobile technology and desktop systems in line with organisational IT policies.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

 

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Technical/Construction discipline plus a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in construction maintenance.

OR

  • BTEC Higher Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in a Technical/Construction related discipline plus 3 years’ post-qualification experience in construction maintenance.

OR

  • Demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and at least 4 years’ experience working within a project delivery function.

Applicants must also have:

  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • CSR Card.
  • Intermediate IT proficiency.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and maintain electronic records.
  • Access to transport to carry out the duties of the post.
  • Basic Access NI clearance (required prior to commencement).
