<p>We are currently recruiting for a <strong>Waste Resource Management Team Leader</strong> to join a busy Waste Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor to lead frontline operational teams, ensuring the efficient delivery of waste collection, street cleansing, household recycling centre, and bin delivery services across the Borough.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Leading and supervising operational waste teams across a range of waste management services</li>
<li>Supporting the Waste Supervisor in the day-to-day management of employees, vehicles, plant, and equipment</li>
<li>Managing staff rotas, attendance, performance, training, and development</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with Health &amp; Safety legislation, COSHH, manual handling procedures, and risk assessments</li>
<li>Investigating accidents and incidents, completing reports, and liaising with the Health &amp; Safety team where required</li>
<li>Monitoring operational performance and producing management information, cleanliness surveys, and health &amp; safety assessments</li>
<li>Supporting the delivery of waste collection, street cleansing, and household recycling centre services</li>
<li>Responding to customer queries and complaints to ensure excellent service delivery</li>
<li>Assisting with service improvement initiatives and helping to develop recycling centre operations</li>
<li>Deputising for the Waste Supervisor as required</li>

<h3>Essential Criteria</h3>
<p>Applicants must have:</p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of <strong>5 GCSEs (Grades A–C)</strong> including <strong>English and Maths</strong>, or equivalent</li>
</ul>

<li>A minimum of <strong>2 years&#8217; relevant experience</strong> if the above academic qualifications are not held</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition, applicants must demonstrate:</p>

<li>A minimum of <strong>1 year&#8217;s relevant supervisory experience</strong> within areas such as waste collection, street cleansing, or household recycling centre operations</li>
<li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li>

<li>To provide regular progress reports on the performance of schemes to the Senior Project Manager.</li>
<li>To attend regular internal monitoring meetings to report of progress on programme delivery.</li>
<li>To lead liaison with Housing Management for Reinvestment, ensuring good and effective communication.</li>
<li>To develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients.</li>

<li>To ensure consultants and contractors have been approved and maintain relevant records.</li>
<li>To carry out reviews and audits of schemes, including providing component data to the Asset Strategy Team.</li>

<li>To authorise works instructions within designated approval levels ensuring correct cost centre allocation, priority and appropriateness of works description, including the approval of variations in time and cost where necessary.</li>
<li>Authorise invoices for payment.</li>
<li>To ensure all paperwork in relation to Planned Maintenance is processed in a timely and effective manner ensuring information entered on the relevant IT system is accurate to enable effective performance monitoring.</li>
<li>To produce, record and monitor performance reports to ensure Key Performance Indicators are achieved.</li>
<li>To collate and report monthly performance monitoring statistics detailing performance, quality and cost data and other information as required by the Senior Project Manager.</li>
<li>To provide technical advice to all members of the NIHE’s staff and tenants.</li>
<li>To monitor and manage complaints resolving issues and highlighting trends where evident.</li>
<li>To co-ordinate and manage the NHIE’s Planned Maintenance contractors and consultants ensuring high performance and excellent value for money are achieved at all times.</li>

<h2><b>About the Role</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are currently recruiting for a </span><b>Member Services Officer</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who can manage a varied workload, work to tight deadlines and provide high-quality support in a busy governance environment.</span></p>
<h2><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Co-ordinate paperless Committee meetings and circulation of Members&#8217; documents.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Service Council and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, reports and recording proceedings.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare and collate meeting files, presentations and supporting documentation.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain records of Members&#8217; attendance, committee memberships, conferences and expenses.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Liaise with internal departments, Members and external organisations to support effective communication and meeting administration.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Upload approved reports, minutes and committee documentation to the website.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arrange meetings, room bookings and hospitality requirements.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide administrative support for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arrange approved Member travel and accommodation.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain corporate and Member Services calendars.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist with Freedom of Information requests.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Co-ordinate Zoom invitations for Council and Committee meetings.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage and co-ordinate the on-call Member Services Officers.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support Local Government Elections administration as required.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Deliver a high standard of customer service and respond to enquiries through to resolution.</span></li>
</ul>
<h2><b>Essential Criteria</b></h2>
<h3><b>Qualifications</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Applicants must possess:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">LCCI Secretary&#8217;s Certificate, BTEC National Certificate in Business Studies, or another relevant Level 3 qualification on the Qualifications Framework</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b>AND</b></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">RSA/OCR Stage II Word Processing (or equivalent)</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Applications may also be considered from candidates who do not hold the above qualifications but can demonstrate at least </span><b>4 years&#8217; relevant experience</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h3><b>Experience</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A minimum of </span><b>2 years&#8217; relevant clerical experience</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> including:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use of Microsoft Office applications.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Preparation of agendas, reports, minutes and general correspondence.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Managing demanding workloads and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.</span></li>
</ul>
<h3><b>Skills and Abilities</b></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Effective organisation of workload to meet tight deadlines.</span></li>
