Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will manage a small finance team while ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash management and continuous process improvement.</p>

<p><strong>The Role</strong><br />
The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance function, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information is produced accurately and efficiently.<br />
A key aspect of this role is supporting a transactional finance team that processes a high volume of activity, including hundreds of invoices daily and multiple bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will be comfortable answering technical queries, providing guidance to the team and stepping in to support operational tasks when required.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage and support a small finance team.</li>
<li>Oversee all transactional finance activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.</li>
<li>Ensure effective cash flow, treasury and working capital management.</li>
<li>Maintain and improve financial controls across the business.</li>
<li>Oversee credit control activities and support debtor management.</li>
<li>Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes.</li>
<li>Ensure timely completion of all statutory and tax-related returns.</li>
<li>Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.</li>
<li>Produce financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.</li>
<li>Assist with financial systems development and reporting enhancements.</li>
<li>Provide support and guidance to the finance team on complex transactions and reconciliations.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).</li>
<li>Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance position.</li>
<li>Strong financial reporting and financial control experience.</li>
<li>Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of information accurately.</li>
<li>Experience managing and developing a finance team.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li>
<li>Hands-on approach with willingness to support transactional finance activities when required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with ERP or accounting systems implementation.</li>
<li>Experience using Sage, Power BI or similar reporting tools.</li>
<li>Experience in a high-volume transactional finance environment.</li>
<li>Experience managing credit control and cash management functions.</li>
</ul>

<p><u><strong>Job Description:</strong></u><br />
The main duties and responsibilities of the post are to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build knowledge and understanding of two main areas;</li>
</ul>
<p>&#8211; Current IS technology base – infrastructure and software environments; and</p>
<p>&#8211; Assembly Procedures.</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the running of IS Office related Project and Change Management projects</li>
<li>Work alongside Assembly Commission business units to assist in and improve the planning and delivery of ICT enabled projects. This will involve:</li>
</ul>
<p>&#8211; Assisting Assembly Commission business units by providing support in the delivery of;</p>
<ul>
<li>Innovative digital solutions;</li>
<li>Business improvement processes;</li>
<li>Change management;</li>
<li>Business mapping processes;</li>
<li>Pre Market Engagement activities as required;</li>
<li>Strategic business cases to support the replacement of key systems;</li>

<li>Guidance on how to make effective use of existing IT solutions;</li>

<li>Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure that requests align with the vision, objectives and strategy of the organisation.</li>
<li>Production of user stories (requirements) in relation to software development requests and then working collaboratively with the lead software developers to finalise these stories from a user and technical point of view.</li>
<li>Review design and requirements documentation in order to assist and support the end user in the testing of developed systems. Support the recording of these results and provide analysis and feedback to IS Developers.</li>
<li>Manage and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Help develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.</li>
<li>Manage contracted equipment or services suppliers to ensure project timetables are met and services are being delivered to agreed standards via scheduled review meetings.</li>
<li>Support creation and delivery of training across the M365 products and newly provisioned application as procured / delivered.</li>
<li>Support end users with the adoption of new technologies and applications.</li>

<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>

<p><b>Qualifications and Skills</b></p>

<li><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Minimum of 5 years&#8217; experience as an Estimator within repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, retrofit, or construction environments</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">• HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">• Experience pricing responsive maintenance, planned maintenance, refurbishment, or retrofit projects</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">• Strong understanding of public sector frameworks and contracts, including social housing, local authorities, schools, and housing associations</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">• Experience with Schedule of Rates (SOR) pricing, including PSA schedules</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities Tenancy Management &amp; Sustainment:</strong></p>
