Job Title: Audit Supervisor

Location: Belfast, City Centre

Duration: Full Time Permanent position

Office Hours: 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday.

Salary: Depending on experience plus an excellent range of benefits and development opportunities.

On behalf of our client, a leading Professional Services Organisation, we are seeking a Supervisor for their Auditing Services.

In this role, the Supervisor will take the lead on a range of issues and fieldwork as well as delegating tasks to team members.

You will need:

  • Relevant professional qualifications
  • Good Auditing experience
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of handling a client portfolio
  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant software packages
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills

 

Duties include:

  • Execute planning and completion of audits, identifying and dealing with more complex audit areas during the fieldwork stage, with minimal guidance
  • Ongoing management of all aspects of client work, working alongside the client engagement team ensuring all client deadlines and demands are met
  • Undertake technical research and help to resolve technical issues as they arise following discussion with a senior member of the client team
  • Attend planning and clearance meetings, taking an active role in the preparation, agenda and follow up actions and maintain contact with client throughout the entire accounts audit process
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and deal with ad-hoc audit and accounting queries, with minimal guidance and due consideration for risk, identifying areas where other service lines could provide support
  • Manage work delegated to junior members of the team while still being responsible for overall delivery to meet deadlines
  • Assist with the review of audit and accounts work, as required, and clear review points ready for final review
  • Demonstrate the ability to be involved in the delivery of specialist advisory and project work to a high
  • technical standard, writing in a clear concise manner, with guidance
  • Be responsible for undertaking work in line with budget, manage fees and demonstrate commercial awareness on jobs, including setting expectations on deliverables with junior members of team
