Clerical Officer (Band 2)
Location: Omagh / Altnagelvin Hospital areas
Salary: Band 2 (salary information not provided)
Hours: Full-Time
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Duration: Temporary

About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for Clerical Officers (Band 2).
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable individual to provide administrative and clerical support within a busy healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day administrative functions of the department, providing a high standard of customer service while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain general filing systems
Operate computerised information systems
Record and distribute incoming mail/post and deal with routine correspondence and outgoing mail
Prioritise and organise workload effectively
Answer telephone calls and respond appropriately
Complete faxing and photocopying duties
Type minutes of meetings and other documentation as required
Liaise with colleagues, other departments and external agencies
Maintain compliance with data protection, confidentiality and Trust policies
Order stationery and ensure adequate supplies are maintained
Carry out general administrative tasks as required
Assist with the production, presentation and distribution of written documentation using Microsoft Word, including letters, memos, funding submissions and reports
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language or equivalent/higher educational standard
OR
2 years administrative / clerical experience
In addition, candidates must have:
Knowledge of computer packages including Microsoft Office and email
Knowledge of office procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work well within a team
Reliability and flexibility
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to use initiative
Additional Information
