The Opportunity
Weโre seeking a Senior VAT Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Belfast. This is a client-facing position offering the chance to work across a wide range of sectors and projects. Youโll deliver high-level VAT advice, ensure compliance, and play a vital role in the growth of the VAT function through business development and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities
ยท Provide VAT and indirect tax advice to UK and international clients
ยท Advise charities and not-for-profit organisations on VAT liability, recovery, partial exemption, and related areas
ยท Support clients on property transactions and provide ad hoc advisory services
ยท Carry out VAT Due Diligence assignments for high-value deals
ยท Undertake VAT health checks and compliance reviews
ยท Oversee and review client VAT returns submitted by the business
ยท Communicate key VAT updates internally and externally
ยท Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships
ยท Actively contribute to business development and team strategy

About You
ยท Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT
ยท Experience gained in practice or a HMRC environment
ยท Proven ability to manage a varied VAT client portfolio across multiple sectors
ยท Confident communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
ยท Experience in staff supervision or team management
