Job title: Compliance Officer

Location:  Belfast.  Serviced well by public transport and public parking areas.

Hours: 37.5 hours. Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm

Duration: Permanent

Salary:  From £24000 depending on experience


On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Compliance Officer to join their team. The Compliance Officer will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the operations and will need to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

You will need:

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level (or equivalent)
  • One years’ previous experience in an administrative role
  • A solid background and understanding of providing outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • A strong appreciation of teamwork to achieve team objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and independently
  • Experience working in an environment with regulatory, legal and ethical considerations is desirable but not essential.


Duties include:

  1. Maintenance of candidate training compliance;
  2. To store, arrange candidate records, meeting administrative and legal requirements;
  3. To devise and ensure the implementation of retention and disposal schedules and routinely audit records to ensure compliance with legislative or regulatory requirements;
  4. To assist in the ongoing transfer from paper to electronic records management systems.
  5. To liaise with external bodies and providers to process relevant checks & verifications in line with required standards;
  6. To ensure that email correspondence for the attention of the Compliance team is responded to promptly, professionally and fully;
  7. To ensure that all company policies, procedures and processes are adhered to fully and on time;
  8. To record comprehensive vacancy details from clients where required and to pass full details to the relevant consultant promptly.
  9. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance levels
